Arsenal have been linked with a move for West Ham and England international midfielder Declan Rice in the future, with his future uncertain. According to Matt Law on the London Is Blue podcast, the Hammers are willing to sell the 23-year-old for roughly £70million in the summer.
While he has primarily been rumoured with a return to Chelsea, there are said to be two Premier League clubs ahead of the Blues in the race.
World Cup starlet link
Arsenal are among a number of teams that could be “tempted” into making a move for Spain starlet Nico Williams after his impressive World Cup cameos. 20-year-old Williams, brother of Ghana international striker Inaki, appears to have caught the attention of many sides.
A piece from Goal Espana claims that the youngsters has a release clause set at €50m in his Athletic Bilbao contract, with the Gunners grouped alongside the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and PSG as interested parties.
Gakpo transfer verdict
Arsenal transfer target Cody Gakpo has insisted that hearing rumours linking him with a big move is “nice to hear” but has reiterated his focus on the World Cup with the Netherlands. He told reporters while on international duty: “I focus now on the World Cup but it’s always nice to hear such rumours. I just try to focus here and do my best.
“I’m not surprised, I know what I’m capable of but it’s always a challenge to reach your highest level possible and I think I’m not near yet. I can improve in a lot of things.”
