Arsenal could be set to beat West Ham United to the signing of exciting young winger Moussa Diaby this summer.

That’s according to claims from BUT! Football in France who claim that Arsenal could be ready to make a €70 million (£60 million) bid for the 23-year-old Bayer Leverkusen star.

West Ham manager wants to bring the Arsenal target to the London Stadium this summer according to BILD.

Things already looked bleak for the Hammers with BILD suggesting that it will be very hard to convince the eight-capped France international to move to East London from Leverkusen.

Arsenal line up mammoth bid for West Ham target Moussa Diaby

BUT! Football in France claim that the Gunners are plotting a mammoth bid for the acting young French attacker.

At 23, Diaby seems to be ready to make the step up to the Premier League from the Bundesliga.

He certainly has all of the tools needed to succeed at the very highest level of the English game.

We think that the Leverkusen ace would be an exceptional addition for whichever club wins the race for his signature this summer.

Diaby joined Bayer Leverkusen from Paris Saint-Germian in the summer of 2019.

He has been a huge hit with the Bundesliga side, bagging 35 goals and 37 assists in 124 games so far (Transfermarkt).

Last season, the five-capped France international chalked up 17 goals and 14 assists in 42 games (Transfermarkt).

The 23-year-old is absolutely rapid and plays with a certain kind of directness that would he see him slot perfectly into either the West Ham or Arsenal sides..

He has been described as an ‘astonishing’ player by the Bundesliga’s official website.

The lively forward can play anywhere along the front-line and that will undoubtedly appeal to Moyes and Arteta.

West Ham signing Moussa Diaby this summer really would be a huge statement. Unfortunately for us though, it seems as though Arsenal are in pole position to sign the Frenchman this summer.

This may well be a battle that we just can’t win. And missing out on Diaby to the Gunners would be a huge shame.
