Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are very confident that they will be able to sign Youri Tielemans from Leicester City in the summer transfer window, according to CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has told GiveMeSport that Arsenal are confident that when they eventually make a bid for the Belgium international midfielder, they will be able to able strike a deal with Premier League rivals Leicester City.

Earlier this week, Jacobs told GiveMeSport that Arsenal already have an agreement in place with the Belgium International midfielder over personal terms.

ARSENAL CONFIDENT ABOUT SIGNING YOURI TIELEMANS

Jacobs told GiveMeSport: “If they don’t sign him, it’s not because Tielemans doesn’t want to join, it’s not because the deal can’t be agreed with Leicester, I think Arsenal are very confident if they do come to the table and finally make a bid that they will be able to strike a deal with Leicester, it’s down to Arteta’s desire, and at the moment, he doesn’t want to move.”

TIME TO BID

In our view, if Arsenal are keen on signing Youri Tielemans from Leicester City in the summer transfer window, then they should make an offer now.

Now, the Gunners may be confident of getting a deal done for the Belgium international, but what if other top clubs show interest and make a move?

Would the Leicester star really wait for Arsenal to agree a deal with Leicester?

Arsenal could then miss out on the 25-year-old Tielemans, described as “special” and “a top, top player” by former Arsenal star Paul Merson on Sky Sports News [06/05/2019].

Tielemans has scored 18 goals and created 23 big chances in 120 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
