After not playing since the victory over Manchester United at the end of April, the Spaniard revealed in his pre-match press conference on Wednesday that it is still unknown whether the player who formerly played for Brighton will be fit to play against Antonio Conte’s side.
When questioned about the most recent injury updates concerning his team, the manager of the Gunners responded as follows:
“Thomas [Partey] is still out, Kieran [Tierney] is still out, and Ben [White] is a doubt.” We will need to evaluate him since he is feeling much better, and Bukayo Saka is in the same boat.
The veteran, who is now 40 years old, went on to say that it would be difficult to determine if both White and his fellow colleague Bukayo Saka will be able to participate in the game: It’s simply how they feel today, so it’s very tough to assess (a chance) with injuries,
he added. “Very difficult.” Because that is the last day on which we are able to evaluate them, we will have to wait and see.
Because of a hamstring injury, White was unable to play in the victories against West Ham United and Leeds United, and Saka was taken out of the game late in the match against the Elland Road club. Both Thomas Partey and Kieran Tierney have chosen to take a seat on the bench.
