A member of the Egyptian national team’s technical staff tweeted a congratulations message to player Mohamed Elneny, which was quickly deleted. Elneny has been a key player for Arsenal in recent victories.
Mikel Arteta has started Arsenal’s last four games, all of which have resulted in victories. Arsene Wenger’s team is in pole position to finish fourth in the Champions League next season.
Elneny may be offered a new contract at the Emirates after his recent success, since his current deal expires at the end of the season. Following United’s triumph, Arteta was queried about it, and the Spaniard hinted at talks.
“I always said that for me, he’s one of the most important members of the squad,” Arteta told a press conference in April. “For what he does when you give him the chance to play and for the things when he doesn’t play.
“It’s a phenomenal person and then you have to judge the footballer as someone who probably doesn’t get the credit that he deserves.”

Elneny, on the other hand, seems to have already agreed to his new deal. A member of the national team staff congratulated the midfielder on his new contract with Emirates on Twitter. The caption said, “A member of Egypt’s technical staff congratulates El Neny on signing his new Arsenal contract.”
Elneny was given his chance late in the season due to injuries to Thomas Partey and Albert Sambi Lokonga. Arteta and Edu must now decide if his work merits a new contract.
