According to a report from Corriere dello Sport, Arsenal is one of two teams that Victor Osimhen would want to play for in the wake of uncertainty about the striker’s future at Napoli.
Osimhen is one of a slew of attackers who have been linked with a move to the Emirates in the recent summer transfer window. It goes without saying that the Gunners will need to add at least one new goalscorer in the coming months.
Arsenal was said to be interested in signing the Nigerian in March, according to reports. It comes after a season in which he has scored 16 goals in 28 outings across all competitions for the Reds.
Unsurprisingly, the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona is not interested in letting him go for a song on the cheap. In fact, according to rumours, they are seeking £84 million for the 23-year-old.
If he does decide to transfer to North London, he would become Arsenal’s most expensive acquisition in history. And it seems like Osimhen is really hoping that Mikel Arteta’s guys would come knocking on his door.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Osimhen has his heart set on a summer move to either Arsenal or Manchester United.
