Arsenal remain interested in Real Betis midfielder, Guido Rodriguez, and could now get him for around £25m, according to Di Marzio.
The classy midfielder has been on the radar of Arsenal for some time now as they seek reinforcements. But his price-tag has always been an issue.
Reports a few weeks back suggested that Betis were holding out for the full £70m release-clause in Rodriguez’s contract. However, Di Marzio now claims that the Spanish outfit will accept a fee as much as £45m less.
That could tempt the Gunners into making their move. Arsenal are set to announce the signing of Albert Lokonga, but are still after more midfield additions it seems.
Argentina star Rodriguez was a near ever-present for Betis last season, making 35 appearances. He’s won the title in Mexico, before proving a success for Betis in La Liga.

The £70m price tag was always going to be too much for Arsenal but a massive drop means a deal now seems feasible.
Rodriguez is a fine player, too. He has a bit of nastiness about him but he’s also more than comfortable with the ball. If Granit Xhaka does leave, then the Betis man is ideal to step in.
£25m is not a lot for a top midfield talent. Of course, a lot will depend on how much Arsenal are willing to spend this summer. But out of all the names linked, Rodriguez seems a good fit.
