Ray Parlour has urged Arsenal on talkSPORT (7:26am, June 25, 2021) to sign Yves Bissouma.
The former Arsenal star believes that the Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder should be next on the Gunners’ list after the potential transfer of Ben White.
The Guardian are reporting that Arsenal are confident of signing the central defender from Brighton for a deal worth up to £50 million.
Parlour said on talkSPORT (7:26am, June 25, 2021): “Bissouma will be superb. I think he is efficient, he has got lots of energy, good on the ball, he is young enough for Arsenal to get four years out of him.”
ARSENAL INTEREST IN YVES BISSOUMA
Brighton star Bissouma has actually been linked with Arsenal.
The Times reported last month that the Gunners have already inquired about the availability of the Mali international.
Brighton are reportedly open to selling the 24-year-old, but if they get £30 million.
GOOD SIGNING FOR ARSENAL?
Bissouma has been at Brighton since 2018 and has done well over the years in the Premier League.
The 24-year-old is a very dynamic player who can protect the back-line, hold his own in the middle of the park, and can also drive the team forward.
Thomas Partey is a given in the Arsenal midfield. Bissouma could be the ideal partner for the Ghana international.
Arsenal do need a strong pairing in the middle of the park.
Partey and Bissouma could give manager Mikel Arteta just that.
