Arsenal have made their move to sign Manor Solomon from Shakhtar Donetsk now, Sport Arena claims.
They say that Arsenal have submitted a bid worth £17 million for the winger, who has been one of the standout players in Ukrainian football over the past year.
Unfortunately for Arsenal though, it seems that Edu will have to get to work on negotiating a deal, if they are to be successful.
Shakhtar apparently believe that they can receive more money for their star attacker, and have already told Arsenal that their offer isn’t enough.
Reports in Israel already claim that Solomonic looking for houses in London, amid the Gunners interest.
If that is the case then it seems that the player has a degree of confidence about a move going through in time.
However, Football London’s chief Arsenal reporter Chris Wheatley has refuted the claims that an offer has come in yet, adding a layer of doubt to the initial reports.
WHERE DOES SOLOMON FIT AT ARSENAL?
If Arsenal were to land Solomon he may just be sought after as a option to add depth in their attack.
Although the 21-year-old has scored frequently this term, it seems unlikely that he would break straight into their starting line-up upon arriving.
What he does posses is great pace though, Oleksandr Ryabokon, a manager in Ukraine, said to Walla that Solomon is one of the fastest players in Shakhtar’s side. That could make him a useful option off the bench.
Arteta does appear to be building a squad packed with exciting young talents at Arsenal though, and Solomon could be an ideal fit in that sense.
