Arsenal hosts Manchester City at the Emirates on Sunday in the Premier League game 25 fixture. The Gunners got back to winning ways last week, when they defeated Leeds United 4-2, courtesy of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s Hattrick.
However, Mikel Arteta’s men will be rooting to continue the momentum when Man City visits the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners could not win against Benfica in the Europa League on Thursday, but they were able to get a very important away goal in the draw.
Starting XI Predictions:
Bernd Leno will start in goal, as Mikel Arteta will opt to retain his usual 4-2-3-1 formation. It is most likely both David Luiz and Cedric Soares would be dropped to the bench, with Rob Holding replacing Luiz in the back and Kieran Tierney returning from his injury layout. Gabriel retains his position at Center back, while Hector Bellerin remains on the right.
Thomas Partey is not fit enough to return to the starting line up, so Dani Ceballos and Granit Xhaka will once again play in the central midfield.
In attack, Martin Odegaard will retain his position, as his performances in the central role in recent game has given him so edge. Emile Smith-Rowe will be deployed on the left side of the wing, while Bukayo Saka stays at the right side, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the striking position, as he recently got an hattrick from the position.
Alexandre Lacazette will sit on the bench, and wait for his chance to show his worth, when he is brought on later in the match.
Predicted Arsenal Starting XI Against Manchester City (4-2-3-1):
Bernd Leno, Hector Bellerin, Rob Holding, Gabriel, Kieran Tierney, Dani Ceballos, Granit Xhaka, Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Emile Smith-Rowe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
