Arsenal are looking to make a move for Crystal Palace left back Patrick van Aanholt, according to reports.
The North London side are looking to add to their back line, looking for a suitable back up for Kieran Tierney, who is the only left back left after the departure of Sead Kolasinac.to Schalke.
Van Aanholt who doesn’t play regularly and has since seen his game time reduced after the emergence of Tyrick Mitchell at the club plus his constant injuries played a major role in him being frozen out.
The 30-year-old has just six months before his contract rum out with the Eagles, and the only option the club has now is to let the defender leave this window, to prevent the player from leaving for free in the summer.
The Dutchman has been at Selhurst Park for a while, as he joined in 2017 from Sunderland. Van Aanholt who started his career at Chelsea a a youngster, has made 20 goals contribution (14 goals, 6assists) in 123 appearances for Crystal Palace across all competition.
However, he has made only 12 appearance, coming from the bench for most period of the games, and the player is keen on playing regularly to regain his fitness, with the European Championship on the horizon.
