Arsenal targets David Raya and Said Benrahma were both left out of Brentford’s squad for their friendly against Oxford United yesterday.
According to 90 Minutes, Arsenal are expected to bid for both players, as they seek to improve their first team.
Mikel Arteta has apparently been talked into the transfers by new Arsenal coach Andreas Georgson, who is a big fan of the duo having worked with them at Brentford.
And some concerns were raised at Brentford yesterday, after both Raya and Benrahma didn’t play in their friendly.
Brentford did address the speculation over Raya, as they claimed he had a slight knock.
But they did not mention the reason behind Benrahma’s absence, which suggests it may have been transfer related.
The £25 million-rated Algerian (90 Minutes) was one of the stars of the Championship last term, and it would be a huge loss to Brentford if he did move to Arsenal.
Benrahma would offer Mikel Arteta’s side even more flair in the final third, as Arsenal seek to improve on last season and keep moving forward.
