Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Advanced talks for Dominik Szoboszlai, Adrien Rabiot update

Mikel Arteta is preparing for his first summer transfer window in charge at Arsenal and it is set to be a massive one in the Spaniard’s career.

Arteta has effectively inherited Unai Emery’s squad after his countryman was sacked late last year.

There is set to be a big overhaul at the Gunners once this season comes to an end, with some of Arteta’s biggest names linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium.

With that being said, here are the day’s very latest Arsenal transfer rumours.

Gunners in advanced talks for Szoboszlai

Arsenal are in advanced negotiations with Red Bull Salzburg for their midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, according to French journalist Manu Lonjon.

Szoboszlai was reportedly a target for the Gunners last summer, and it looks like they will go in for the 19-year-old this summer.

The Salzburg midfielder has scored 10 goals this season for the Austrian team, as well as providing 16 assists in all competitions.

However, Arsenal could face stern competition for Szoboszlai, with AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain also reportedly interested.

Juve chief speaks about Rabiot future

Juventus technical coordinator Fabio Paratici believes Adrien Rabiot will stay at the club despite links with Arsenal, amongst others.

The Gunners have reportedly expressed an interest in the French midfielder, as well as Manchester United.

Paratici told Sky Sports Italia: “Rabiot also arrived from PSG after six months of inactivity. He had to catch up with his physical condition.

“That said, he is a great player, someone who is very important for Juventus today and will be for the future.”

Ajax drop Tagliafico hint

Ajax manager Erik Ten Hag has admitted Nicolas Tagliafico can leave the club in the summer.

Tagliafico, who was a key player for the Dutch giants before the season was cancelled, has been linked with a move to Arsenal, as well as Chelsea and Leicester City.

Ten Hag told Het Parool: “The transfer market will start in August. The top leagues are now being played out, so the money flows are maintained. The market value of players will be slightly depressed, but not much.

“Based on their performance and ambition, a number of our players also want to make the move abroad. Agreements have been made with Andre Onana, Donny van de Beek and Nicolas Tagliafico, but it must be clear whether the market is indeed breaking loose.

“For Onana and Van de Beek, another year at Ajax could certainly be an option, for Tagliafico, it is slightly different because of his age.
