Luiz, Mustafi, Kolasinac – Latest Arsenal injury news ahead of Norwich

More problems were piled on Unai Emery and Arsenal with the latest result.

Ceballos pulled up with what looked like a hamstring problem while closing down an opponent and was replaced by Matteo Guendouzi in the 54th minute, despite appearing to want to continue.

The Spanish international missed the last two Premier League games and his country’s games over the international break, and Arsenal have revealed that the midfielder could be out of action for a bit longer yet.

An update claimed that Ceballos will “return to training in mid-December”, meaning that the midfielder could miss as many as the five next Arsenal matches.

Sead Kolasinac

The Bosnian returned from international action last week with a tight left hamstring and was only named on the bench against Southampton.

He took part in light training ahead of the Europa League clash, but was not included in the squad.

Hector Bellerin

Was substituted in the second half of the match vs Southampton as Arsenal pushed for an equaliser.

The club confirmed on Wednesday that the full back is suffering from a tight hamstring and will be assessed ahead of the match, the problem means that the 24-year-old did not participate in training on Wednesday.

Emile Smith Rowe

It’s been an injury-hit season for the attacking midfielder thus far and he suffered a setback prior to the Europa League tie against Vitoria and was left out of the travelling squad. reported this was simply a precaution due to a tight calf muscle and that the injury is not a serious problem.

He did feature for the England U20’s during the international break.

The teenager wasn’t named in the squad to face Southampton, but played for the U23 side against Villareal on Wednesday evening, scoring Arsenal’s second goal of the game.

David Luiz

The defender started the Eintracht Frankfurt match in midfield, but a collision with Goncalo Paciencia meant that the Brazilian couldn’t continue and he was replaced by Matteo Guendouzi in the first half.

It has since been confirmed that the player is being assessed with a chest injury, it is unknown if Luiz will be available for Sunday’s Premier League encounter.

Shkodran Mustafi

Was another casualty from the Frankfurt defeat. The defender was substituted in the second half after picking up an injury and being unable to continue.

Like Luiz, Emery confirmed in his post match press conference that the player will be assessed ahead of Sunday’s trip to Carrow Road

Gabriel Martinelli

Gabriel Martinelli was substituted against Eintracht Frankfurt, but it understood the change was a tactical decisions by Unai Emery.

Rob Holding was left out of the squad for the Europa League tie due to a knee injury, and is rated by PremierInjuries with a 25% chance of making a comeback vs the Canaries.
