There weren’t many positives about Arsenal last season in the Premier League but Laurent Koscielny was certainly one of them.
The Gunners’ captain returned from a serious injury to play a crucial role for the Gunners during the season.
The Frenchman has one year left on his contract and has been linked with a move away from the club.
Many fans dismissed those rumours given his service to the North London side in the last nine years but this fresh story disputes that.
Arsenal have issued a club statement which specifies that Laurent Koscielny has refused to travel with the rest of the squad on the preseason tour of the United States.

“We are very disappointed by Laurent’s actions, which are against our clear instructions,” the statement reads.
“We hope to resolve this matter and will not be providing any further comment at this time.”
It’s a baffling story. Laurent Koscielny has been a loyal servant to the club in the last nine years, making over 350 appearances for the club.
He’s been nothing but a thorough professional throughout so to refuse to travel on a preseason tour is slightly ridiculous.
Fans are saying his behaviour is unacceptable for any player but even more so for the club’s captain. He should be stripped of the armband and sold immediately.
